GDPR DPO Update

FAO: All Schools / All Phases

Dear Colleagues,

Over the past 3 years the Data Protection Officer services and training to Enfield Council and a number of schools has been provided by an external company run by Steve Durbin who reported into Digital Services. That contract ends on 30^thApril, and Enfield has now appointed it’s own permanent Data Protection Officer called Rezaur Choudhury, who will be starting later on 5^th April. We will also move the reporting lines to transfer the reporting into the Gemma Young, Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management to ensures the council follows best practice in maintaining the independence of the role.

Between now and the end of April we will be undertaking a transfer and handover of the role to ensure service continuity, and nothing will change in the service that is delivered so that by 1^st May there will have been a seamless transition.
