Stepping Stones from the GLA
FAO: All Schools / All Phases
LBE is a member of the GLA New Deal for Young People core group. The GLA has announced further investment that will support 14 more schools to introduce and start delivering the Stepping Stones programme to support transition from primary to secondary school. 31 schools have already been funded so this will bring the total up to 45.
The Stepping Stones programme will provide crucial support to help reduce the impact of learning lost following the closure of schools to most pupils due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. It contributes to the London Recovery Programme and is helping achieve the New Deal for Young People mission that ‘By 2024 all young people in need are entitled to a personal mentor and all young Londoners have access to quality youth activities’.
