Enfield Schools' Mental Health debates

FAO: Secondary Schools

Following the success of our 2018 Secondary School Mental Health Debates we are happy to announce Wellbeing Connect Services will now be hosting up to 10 Enfield secondary schools’ debates funded by the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) as a means of destigmatising mental health among young people and promoting positive mental wellbeing particularly in light of the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Through these debates we aim to:

·         Build awareness of mental health issues for young people and encourage those effected to seek support.

·         Empower young people to talk about the long-term effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on their mental health.

·         Provide a space for young people to be listened to and signposted for further support.

·         Build young people’s confidence regarding talking about difficult topics.

There will be 5 inter-class and 5 class debates. These will be structured debates and will last approximately 50/60mins each. There is space for up to 10 different schools to participate (UPDATE: 7 spaces remaining) but this is on a first come first serve basis so do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please see the flyer attached for more information.
