Welcome to the Enfield Professional Development (PD) Programme for Schools for the financial year 2019-20.

The role of the School and Early Year Improvement Service (SEYIS) and Professional Development team is to identify the development needs of the schools’ workforce and then coordinate the necessary provision across a growing number of partnerships and the expanding learning communities available to Enfield teachers. We continue to recognise that we have to equip the schools’ workforce with the skills and knowledge they need in order that they can continue to raise achievement and make a positive difference to outcomes for Enfield’s children and young people.

Collaboration and partnership with our schools continues to grow and deepen.

Increasingly the capacity to deliver the programmes demanded by our schools is drawn from teachers and school leaders with our schools. More than 100 Enfield teachers, Headteachers and SBMs contributed to our Professional Development Programmes from more than 25 schools across the Borough.

This brochure covers the Summer and Autumn Terms 2019, Spring Term 2020 and a few entries as far ahead as Summer Term 2020. There will be some additional courses planned during the year and schools will receive updates and fliers for these courses. We will publish regular updates to our PD Central Diary of Events on Enfield PD Online which can be viewed at https://www.enfieldpdonline.org.uk/

This PD brochure is organised into 5 main elements:
