Aims

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  •  To understand how to create a culture of inclusion with high expectations for pupils with SEND.
  •  To explore ways in which EHCPs can be brought to life as working documents in order to positively impact on pupil progress.
  •  To know how to hold teacher’s accountable for pupil progress and full access to the school curriculum offer.
  •  To be able to take decisive action in order to prevent needs escalating to levels requiring specialist provision.

Overview

This course is designed to equip SENCOs and Senior Leaders with tools to promote inclusion within their schools. The experiences of a SENCO in a school are shared as he makes significant changes to the culture of the school in order to improve outcomes for pupils with SEND. There will be opportunities to reflect on your school’s current practice.

Professional Learning Packages:
