Leading Your Subject: Creating, Developing, Reviewing - DT OLD VERSION

Aims

To support DT leads in creating, developing and reviewing DT provision across the primary range. It will be applicable for both new and experienced leads. 

Overview

This three-part programme for DT coordinators looks at all aspects of curriculum design and delivery, in the context of overarching views of excellent curriculum design and  Ofsted’s 2019 Inspection Framework. Each half-day session will cover:

Session 1 (live via Zoom)

• How Ofsted defines a DT ‘curriculum’
• Creating an exciting, effective, connected and pupil-focused curriculum in DT
• Sharing experiences of DT delivery from across the UK

Session 2 (on-demand recording to support reflection and activities)

• Sharing and embedding expectations for DT
• Monitoring strategies that focus on improvement in DT
• What is ‘cultural capital’ in DT, and how do we deliver it?

Session 3 (live via Zoom)

• Creating challenge in a mastery curriculum for DT
• Ensuring consistency in DT provision
• Establishing and evidencing impact
