Leading Your Subject: Creating, Developing, Reviewing - PSHE OLD VERSION

Aims

To support PSHE leads in creating, developing and reviewing PSHE provision across the primary range. It will be applicable for both new and experienced leads. 

Overview

This three-part programme for P.S.H.E. coordinators looks at all aspects of curriculum design and delivery, in the context of overarching views of excellent curriculum design and Ofsted’s 2019 Inspection Framework. Each half-day session will cover:

Session 1 (live via Zoom)

• How Ofsted defines a P.S.H.E. ‘curriculum’
• Creating an exciting, effective, connected and pupil-focused curriculum in P.S.H.E.
• Sharing experiences of P.S.H.E. delivery from across the UK

Session 2 (on-demand recording to support reflection and activities)

• Sharing and embedding expectations for P.S.H.E.
• Monitoring strategies that focus on improvement in P.S.H.E.
• What is ‘cultural capital’ in P.S.H.E. and how do we deliver it?

Session 3 (live via Zoom)

• Creating challenge in a mastery curriculum for P.S.H.E.
• Ensuring consistency in P.S.H.E. provision
• Establishing and evidencing impact
