Aims
This course aims to improve understanding of how children with EAL acquire English and of responsibilities in regard to equal opportunities and as well as increased confidence in providing an inclusive learning environments for children.
Overview
This course will explore the developmental stages of language acquisition for children learning EAL, share ways to promote children's use home language as a foundation for acquiring EAL as well as how to engage and support children, families and the wider community to ensure linguistic and cultural diversity is valued.
Children need the freedom to appreciate the infinite resources of their hands, their eyes and their ears, the resources of forms, materials, sounds and colours
