Aims
The first part of the session will be led by Ian Fordham and will introduce an intervention framework which schools can use for guidance, it will focus on several stages for schools to explore when children of concern are identified.
The second part of the session will be led by Paul Brightly Jones with a focus will be on the rise of advocacy and what schools can expect to encounter. This session has a specific focus on the role of advocates, in the processes and schools obligations around inclusion, building knowledge of how to navigate these and be able to comprehensively respond to some of the challenges that advocates may present.

Overview
Paul Brightly Jones is an education consultant with 20 years’ experience. Paul currently supports several organisations and has worked for different local authorities during his career. He has been the lead for these Local Authorities responsibilities for inclusion and exclusion processes.
Paul is also a governor for two schools, he has been a governor for a variety of schools over the last 25 years.
