Paediatric First Aid

Aims

KEY OBJECTIVES:

To cover the following:

• Emergency first aid for the care of children and babies
• How to deal with choking, bleeding and resuscitation
• Special needs e.g. epilepsy, allergic reaction and head injuries

Overview

COURSE OUTLIINE:

• This course is designed to meet the needs of any school-based staff required to provide first aid and welfare duties to the youngest children.
• The course meets the EYFS/OFSTED/DFCS and Sure Start requirements for those working in care settings for the under 8s and also requirements for the NCMA for these registered as childminders.

Applicants who secure a place will need to attend both days which are scheduled from 9.00-4.00pm.
