Aims
To be confident in understanding of the LADO referral process, how allegations are made and possible outcomes.
Overview
This session is designed to help familiarise governors with their Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), who is responsible for co-ordinating the response to concerns that an adult who works with children may have caused them or could cause them harm.
We will explore their responsibilities towards safeguarding and ensure that participants understand the LADO referal process, how allegations are made, and possible outcomes.
Professional Learning Packages:
Schools have the option to buy a professional learning (PL) package for Governors. Once purchased, the PL Booker for each school can book two people onto all courses within Governors. Additional places will be charged at the cost displayed on the course page.
