Aims
This course is for school leaders on writing an effective SEF.
The course will support Headteachers and other Senior Leaders to ensure that the SEF is accurately capturing the evidence in their schools, matching this to the Ofsted framework.
Overview
· Ensuring that writing the SEF is evaluative vs narrative – answering the “So what?” question
· Brevity vs detail – what’s the right balance?
· Are the SEF and SIP based on evidence and referenced to the Ofsted Framework?
· What is the evidence base you are drawing from?
Sharing of good practice
A chance to bring your current SEF and SIP and reflect on them with colleagues e.g. redraft a section of your SEF or SIP in a workshop-style session ( Zoom break out rooms)
