Overview
Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is a motor skills disorder that affects five to six percent of all school-aged children. It can impact fine and gross motor skills and ability to access the curriculum. This training will equip busy school staff with a working knowledge of DCD and help staff feel confident in identifying children with DCD. Differential diagnosis and comorbid conditions will be discussed, including specific learning difficulties. A significant part of the training session will focus on reviewing practical classroom-based strategies to support these children.
