This course is suitable for any member of staff who has completed the Level 3 Elklan qualification and would like to further their knowledge of SLCN. The Level 3 Elklan qualification is a prerequisite of this training.

It is a Level 4 qualification and requires participants to complete an online portfolio made up of learning activities and reflections linked to the seven aims outlined above.

Participants will have access to a Tutor and Learning Outcome Assessor. The Tutor and Learning Outcome Assessor will support participants to gain the level of knowledge and practical skills required and to strengthen portfolio work ready for final submission. All correspondence with Learning Outcome Assessors takes place on the online platform.

On successful completion participants will gain a Level 4 award in supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) and 6 level 4 credits from Gateway Qualifications. Participants will take away an exciting portfolio of work.

This exciting course will enable participants to develop their knowledge and confidence in supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs and provide them with the opportunity to develop a range of practical skills
