Aims

To provide a deeper understanding of children with autism and their specific needs
To offer practical advice and strategies for working in the mainstream classroom with children with autism

Overview

This course will give participants a better understanding of autism and why children with autism behave in certain ways.  It will also give participants a range of practical ideas to use on a daily basis with the children they support.  On each day of the course there will be taught sessions from 9 - 10.30am and 1 - 2.30pm.  Participants will be completing independent learning tasks from 11 - 12pm and 3 - 4pm and workbooks will need to be sent to the course tutor for marking before the next session starts.

Come and join me as we think about how children and young people learn and think differently, and how we can use this understanding to help them to thrive in the mainstream classroom.
