To give an overview of the work of the SENCO/Inclusion Manager in primary and secondary schools
To develop an understanding of the processes and criteria in Enfield
Overview
This course will introduce and cover topics that a SENCO / Inclusion Manager needs to know about:
• Current legislation and statutory advice from the DfE
• Inclusion
• SEN Code of Practice
• Roles and Responsibilities of a SENCO
• Enfield local context
New SENCOs and those new to Enfield should also attend the following training:
• Making an effective request for a statutory needs assessment
• Conducting an annual review
• Termly Inclusion Briefings
• Termly SEN Services Briefings
• SENCO Inclusion Conferences
Professional Learning Packages:
Schools have the option to buy a professional learning (PL) package for SEND & Inclusion. Once purchased, the PL Booker for each school can book two people onto all courses within SEND & Inclusion. Additional places will be charged at the cost displayed on the course page.
