Aims

• To understand the typical development of speech sounds and its relation to language development
• To know how to screen and identify targets for children
• To know and be able to use some techniques and strategies to support the development of speech sounds

Overview

This training package is designed to support school staff to identify children with speech sound difficulties. It will help you to know when to be concerned about a child’s speech and what activities and strategies you could use to support speech sound development.
