Volunteering Opportunities for Students Ages 14+ in Enfield Libraries

FAO: Secondary School/Sixth Form/Headteachers/Careers Leads/Work Experience Leads

Enfield Libraries has a number of volunteering opportunities available for young people aged 14 and older to assist with the general upkeep of our library service, assist staff in running events, creating book displays, or even running clubs for other students. Volunteering with their local library service will provide young people with vital skills they can take back to school or into the workplace post-education, can instil them with confidence and a sense of independence, and will be an added bonus on UCAS applications for students applying for university. Volunteers can pick their own hours to avoid conflicts with school and any extra-curriculars and they can pick from a range of volunteer roles depending on the needs of the branch they are applying for. This is all done online via the Better Impact system.

Volunteers will need to attend a short interview at the library hub they are applying for and will need to provide two references. Students under 16 will require parent or guardian permission to volunteer.

To view the full list of roles, register with Better Impact, and book an interview slot visit: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/libraries/volunteering-in-enfield-libraries/
