Enfield Trauma Informed Practice Event for Leaders in Schools and Settings
For all Schools Heads, DSLs, Senior Mental Health Leads, Teachers & Support Staff
The Enfield Educational Psychology Service E-TIPSS training offer includes a dedicated strand for senior leaders in schools, settings, and services across Enfield. This training will be delivered across two half-day sessions and is designed to support leaders in embedding trauma-informed principles at an organisational level.
This new training will explore the impact of trauma across different layers of a system, including how trauma can affect not only children and young people, but also the workforce. Focus will be given to the challenges and emotional demands faced by leaders working in trauma-impacted contexts, including how to support staff wellbeing and promote a culture of psychological safety.
This training is a crucial first step in ensuring that senior leadership teams develop a shared understanding and consistent language around trauma and resilience. It encourages joined-up thinking and collective responsibility for the wellbeing of pupils and staff, laying the foundation for long-term cultural change.
We recommend that each school or service bring up to three members of their leadership team who are well-placed to lead on implementing trauma-informed practice using the ARC Framework. The training is aimed at professionals in education, health, or social care with strategic responsibility for mental health and wellbeing.
