Reminder - STA Assessment Updates
For all Schools
Important reminder – The Standards and Testing Agency (STA) will continue to send official fortnightly emails throughout 2026 with key assessment updates every other Tuesday in term time. These remain an essential source of timely information, and additional messages may be issued if urgent actions arise. Please encourage colleagues who would benefit from these updates to sign up. The latest email was sent on 3 March 2026 and includes the following updates:
Key stage 1
· Information: optional KS1 test administration guidance available from Monday 9 March
Key stage 2
· Action: check you have submitted your pupil registration data by Friday 6 March
· Reminder: apply for early opening by Friday 6 March
· Publication: returning KS2 test scripts
· Action: dispose of any old stationery and pre-printed labels by Friday 24 April
· Information: KS2 test administration guidance available from Monday 9 March
· Reminder: KS2 teacher assessment data collection – technical specification published
· Reminder: apply to become a marker for the 2026 KS2 tests
