International Women's Day

Dear Colleagues,

Enfield Council will host and broadcast a special event this year to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) reflecting the national theme #ChooseToChallenge.  This year’s event will be available to watch online via our You Tube channel on Monday 8th March from 7pm and will be introduced by our Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Cohesion, Cllr Nneka Keazor.

As a centrepiece, we have commissioned a new a short film ‘Enfield Chooses to Challenge’ which focusses on the inspiring stories of a diverse and dynamic selection of women in our local community who have had chosen to meet challenges in their lives and taken them on to achieve their goals, sometimes in tough circumstances.

In sharing these stories we hope to inspire all women in our community who may wish to change how they live their lives for the better and realise their full potential.

We hope you will be able to join us for what should be a special occasion which will empower those who participate.

With kind regards,
