New resource just published for KS3 Maths by the DfE and NCETM
FAO: Secondary Headteachers and Maths Subject Leaders
The below link takes you to new resources recently published for KS3 Maths by the DfE and the National C for Excellence in the Teaching of Maths.
The aims are as follows:
- To bring greater coherence to the national curriculum for mathematics by exemplifying the statutory guidance for Key Stage 3 (DfE, 2013) and by giving schools, mathematics departments and teachers further guidance on how learning in mathematics develops across Key Stage 3.
- To highlight the most important knowledge and understanding developed during Key Stage 3, the connections between different mathematical topics, and how they link back to Key Stage 2 and forward to Key Stage 4.
To a large extent this brings together in one place advice, support and information contained in various existing resources associated with the Secondary Mastery Professional Development Materials
