Change of Enfield LADO

We have an opportunity to expand the LADO service in Enfield, bittersweet for me, but a great opportunity for us to have a full-time LADO.
Bruno Capela, details below, will be taking over the LADO role, on a full-time basis, as of 13 November 2023 initially for a six-month period. Bruno will be managed by Maria Anastasi, Head of Service.

Bruno, who was the interim LADO before me, will provide more consistency and availability for consultations as well as with following up work.

A reminder and to save unnecessary work please discuss with Bruno in the first instance, or in his absence the duty Independent Reviewing Officer on telephone: 0208 379 2850. Agreement can be reached as to whether it should be treated as a consultation or whether it meets the threshold to convene a LADO “Allegations against Staff and Volunteers” meeting at which point you can make the referral by way of the Children’s Portal.
