Animating Education History of Enfield Project

For all Primary School Headteachers and KS2 Heads

Animating Education are applying to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to expand our work across the borough and partner with the Museum of Enfield.

We are seeking 4 primary schools in Enfield to participate in free stop-motion animation workshops, that use the rich history of Enfield and the artefacts the museum holds as inspiration for the films

We have recently been funded by Enfield Council to deliver animation workshops in Edmonton around the themes community and the history of Enfield. 

Each school will receive a set of free workshops, learning the art of stop-motion animation, that will mostly be in-school but includes one trip to the museum. All equipment will be provided.

There will be a special screening at the end of the project that all participants will be invited to and the film will be hosted online indefinitely afterwards. The Heritage Fund has approved our initial expression of interest, the Museum has given us their full support and now we have to put together an application. We need at this stage 4 schools to show support to participate in the project by providing letters of support.

To sum up it will be:

  •  A fully funded project for KS2 to participate in
  • 4 School places
  • Takes places over 2 terms (Jan 2025 onwards) 
  • 4 free stop motion animation workshops per school (3 in school, 1 in museum)
  • Free trip to the museum and celebratory screening event.
