Enfield’s Cultural Education Partnership is holding a Creative Industries Discovery Day for secondary school teachers and students to learn more about creative careers and the creative and cultural offer available in Enfield.
Enfield’s Cultural Education Partnership aims to create an action plan to increase creative opportunities for every child and young person in the borough. We will use this Discovery Day to learn more about how we can assist schools and find out more about the creative interests of local young people. We want to cultivate passionate and innovative young thinkers who use creativity throughout their lives, both through creative careers and as a way to express themselves.
Culture Works will offer insight into some creative roles and encourage teachers and students to take part in discussions and activities. A panel discussion with 5 creatives will kick off the event followed by participation in three creative workshops.
Over lunch, teachers and students will have an opportunity to meet creative organisations who are interested in working with schools. The event will conclude with small group discussion on ensuring creative opportunities are made available for every child and young person in Enfield.
The event is aimed at Secondary Schools and Alternative Provisions. Schools can select up to 3 students to attend (Years 8 & 9) and 1-2 teachers may attend.
There is a maximum number of 60 students for this event, so please register quickly.
