Fairer Enfield 2025-29 Consultation
For all Headteachers and Governors
Details
The Public Sector Equality Duty requires us to publish one or more specific and measurable equalities objectives every four years that demonstrate areas where we are tackling inequality.
In the draft policy, Fairer Enfield 2025-29 (PDF), we identified six objectives which help us describe the things we’ll do to support Enfield’s vision to be a progressive and equitable borough:
- Make sure equality and inclusion are central to how we grow and develop the borough
- Work with health partners to identify and address inequalities, focusing on prevention
- Take action to reduce serious youth violence in Enfield (that is, the borough)
- Enhance the diversity of our workforce so it reflects the community at all levels
- Provide services that are easy to access and respond to people’s needs, tackling inequality and exclusion
- Make equality, diversity, and inclusion part of everyday practice to better reflect the community’s needs
We have now launched a consultation on our draft policy, which will run over a four-week period. During this consultation, we would like to hear your feedback on the draft policy, focused on three key themes. Firstly, if you think we should make any changes to the draft policy and objectives. Secondly, if you think there is anything missing from the draft policy, and finally if you have any ideas about how we can best deliver on the draft objectives.
