Community Chest Fund – Launch of Application Process
For all Headteachers, Chair of Governors' & Business Managers
Following the success of previous Community Chest Fund application rounds where we awarded £710,000 to over 40 different projects, we are pleased to announce the launch of a third application process running across November and December 2025.
All details are available on our website and have been summarised below: https://www.meridianwater.co.uk/apply-now-to-community-chest-round-3/
Overview
The purpose of the Community Chest grant is to support not-for-profit groups or organisations to deliver a community benefit in 1 or all 3 of the Edmonton Wards (Lower Edmonton, Upper Edmonton, Edmonton Green). This benefit should fall within the following categories:
- Improve a physical area within a community.
- Improve an opportunity for local people i.e., around employment.
- Improve life chances for young people.
- Address health inequalities.
Application Process:
The application process opens on 12 November 2025 and will close at 17:00 on 31 December 2025.
Organisations can apply for up to £10,000.
In addition to the completion of an online application form, applicants will need to submit supporting evidence including:
- Group Terms of reference / Constitution / Annual report
- applicants can be individuals working together as a local group as long as they have evidence of a ‘term of reference’ for their group.
- Company bank account information (funds will only be released to a company account)
- Safeguarding documentation if the application relates to working with young people.
Assessment Process:
Applications will be considered by a panel with decisions being communicated by the end of February 2026.
If successful, groups will be awarded 3/4 of the award up front with the remainder being given after submission of receipts, images, and supporting statements/testimonials.
