Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) – Autumn Term Offer for Schools

For all School Staff & Senior Mental Health Leads

Documents are on the EPS Website Link Below

Please see below link to the flyer for the Autumn term Addressing Barriers to Attendance Network Meeting for schools.

The network is open to all schools across Enfield and will be facilitated by the Virtual School in Partnership with the Educational Psychology Service.

We will be focusing on addressing the barriers to school non-attendance and how we can support all children and young people who are experiencing EBSNA, in particular Children with a Social Worker.

There will be an opportunity to access a brief CPD session (details of this will be shared nearer the time) and an opportunity for schools to bring an anonymised case that they would like to problem solve with support from other schools and professionals at the meeting. Please refer to details on the flyer to sign up & register your attendance.

We would encourage a member of SLT who leads on attendance to attend alongside colleagues who are responsible for attendance at the school. We encourage you to come as a pair.

Please bring your attendance officers.

Additionally, the Virtual School in partnership with the Educational Psychology Service has produced a booklet with useful resources that can be used when working with young people who experience EBSNA. enfield.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/101378/ECSL3140-Enfield-EBSNA-Resource-Toolkit.pdf

We would be grateful if links to the flyer and resource booklet could be shared with colleagues in your school or setting.
