The latest Standards and Testing Agency (STA) update was issued on 28 April 2026, providing an extensive set of reminders, key information, and upcoming actions for Primary assessments, Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The STA has advised: To avoid unnecessary distractions on the scheduled key stage 2 (KS2) test days, the next issue of the assessment update will be on Tuesday 19 May.
