Reminder for students to join Enfield Libraries for access to all of our resources

All Schools/All Phases/Library Visit co-ordinators/Subject Leads

This is a reminder to all schools that joining Enfield’s library service with their parent’s permission can give students access to:

  • Access to all libraries in Enfield and The Libraries Consortium
  • Free PC and Internet use
  • Space for quiet study and reading
  • Up to 6 free homework-related prints in black and white and colour
  • Borrowing up to 25 books on your library card free of charge
  • Our special ‘I Can Read’ and ‘New Readers’ collections for children learning to read
  • Specialised collections (Dyslexia Friendly, Dual Language, CD Audiobooks, ‘Shelf Help’ Mental Health books, GRT collection, GCSE and A Level Textbooks)
  • Under 18s can reserve up to 10 books online free of charge, to collect at the library of their choice
  • Online access to ebooks, audiobooks, and homework support via the Digital Library
  • Regular social events like arts and crafts, Book Clubs, Lego Clubs, Chess Clubs, Coding Clubs, and more
  • Students 16 and over can also apply to volunteer at their local library to gain work experience or to work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award

    To join the library, simply visit your local library and fill out a form, or visit http://libraries.enfield.gov.uk and select ‘join the library’, then visit a library with your reference number to receive a card.

Students 16 and under can only gain access to the internet with the permission of a parent.
