The London Youth Assembly Survey on Education in London

A message from Sumaiya Bangura, Chair of the London

Youth Assembly (LYA)

At the London Youth Assembly (LYA) meeting in January 2021, it was agreed that one of our main priorities would be the impact of COVID-19 and lockdown on education and opportunities for young people in London, including those from disadvantaged groups.

We want to learn about what young Londoners have experienced in the education system during the pandemic.

Data from the survey will form the LYA’s research into the effects of COVID-19 and lockdowns on education. We will use the findings to develop recommendations to be presented to the Mayor of London. Your insights will help the LYA with future work, particularly when trying to address education issues across London.

We need you! The survey will only take about 6 minutes to complete. Please tell us about your experiences with education and lockdowns if you are a young person aged between 11 - 19 and up to 25 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

For safeguarding reasons, young people should seek permission from a consenting adult before completing the survey.

All responses are anonymous.
