Policing Inspector lead for both Haringey and Enfield schools, Youth Engagement and Cadets

Dear Headteachers and SG leads of Primary, Secondary and PRU’s,

As of today I am the Policing Inspector lead for both Haringey and Enfield schools, Youth Engagement and Cadets.

I have coverage of approx. 40 schools officers (approx. 20 on each side includes Cadet co-ordinators and Youth officers) across both Boroughs managed by four Sergeants (two on each side) namely Sgt Richardson and Sgt Steve Garty in Haringey and Sgt Ganidagli and Sgt Ewen in Enfield. Please note: number of officers will vary on a weekly basis depending on sick, leave and other duties.

Our role and aim is to learn and work with you as key partners to ensure consistency of delivery across Enfield and Haringey and for us to build trust and confidence with young people.

I would like to respectfully share that we do have limited resources to cover a wide area and that often officers are taken away from their day job to cover duties elsewhere such as central London deployments, M25 protestors, Notting hill carnival, New year’s eve to name a few events, however to ensure you are aware and clear engagement is embedded there is an expectation for schools officer to provide you a weekly update of their duties.
