Create Enfield Careers Fair

FAO: KS4 and post 16 Head Teachers and Career Leads

Enfield Council, in partnership with our amazing creative community, are please to invite your year 10 and 11 students to our first Create Enfield Careers Fair to be held at Millfield Theatre, Edmonton on 28th and 29th June from 10-12.30 on both days and your post 16 students from 1-3.30 on both days.

In conversations with headteachers we have been made aware that schools are keen to have more careers information on the wealth of creative career opportunities in the borough and wider region, whether for their artistic talents or electricians who can find work in tv and film studios.

The aim of this fair is to introduce students from across Enfield to the full range of creative careers and their importance within London as 1 in 6 of the capital’s jobs, a current growth area and an area with long term prospects.

We are offering 2 half day morning sessions (from 10am-12.30pm) for year 10 and 11 students and 2 half day sessions (1.3.30pm) for past 16 students.  The sessions will include inspirational keynote speakers with Q and A sessions in the main theatre followed by opportunities to attend a series of small group workshops with working creative professionals and range of information opportunities with stalls from employers, colleges and trade bodies.

This event is free for all young people in the borough, delivered by Enfield Council as part of their Create Enfield initiative to develop culture and creative enterprise across the borough.  We are initially limiting numbers to 15 young people per school but depending on uptake we may be able to offer you further spaces closer to the time.

Please could you confirm your interest in this event and number of spaces required to CreativeCareersFair@enfield.gov.uk by the 6th May 2022 and we look forward to welcoming you and your students later this summer for an inspirational event.
