Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance workshops
RE: EBSNA Workshops
As you will be aware, the Pandemic has exacerbated difficulties with school attendance for many young people, nationally and locally. Restoring school attendance is an important priority for Enfield, and we have had a number of requests for further information and support.
Please see attached information about free online workshops about understanding and addressing ‘Emotionally Based School Non Attendance’. These will be facilitated by Dr Barley Birney, Educational Psychologist, and we are delighted that colleagues from the Education Welfare Service will also be joining the sessions.
There will be two separate workshops for parents and carers and staff and professionals, with part 1 on 5th of July 2022 and part 2 on the 12th of July 2022.
Workshops will take place during the school day for parents and carers (1.30-2.30) and after school for school staff and professionals (4-5pm).
Please do share with parents and sign up if you are interested in developing knowledge in this area of need.
Thank you to everyone who has signed up already, please note that these sessions will be repeated in the autumn and spring term.
With many thanks
Barley
