Inclusion Charter

FAO: All schools, Headteachers, Inclusion Leads, SENCOs, Senior Leaders, Governors

Following the Inclusion Charter launch event on Tuesday 18th October, attached is the overview PowerPoint for the event with the mentimetre activity included, and the guidance document for the 8 principles.

Inclusive teaching provides fair access to learning for all. This means that children and young people of all backgrounds and learning abilities have an opportunity to achieve their true potential. By supporting inclusion as early as possible, education settings can give children and young people the best chance of making friends and greater opportunities for interactions with others.

To support colleagues in all settings, we have created an inclusion page on The Hub that provides guidance and resources – please see the link below.

This page is also where your setting can sign up to show your commitment to the charter. If you click on the interest form about halfway down the page, you can then add your details and tick to say that you are committed to the 8 principles – the direct link to sign up is below.
