Drinking Water Fountain Offer for Schools

The GLA and Thames water are offering 20 water fountains to support schools in becoming water only. The project will help to educate students about small changes and habits which can have a big environmental impact, like using a reusable water bottle instead of purchasing single-use water bottles.

The criteria for this is:

  • Schools in the East of the brough with high rates of childhood obesity.
  • Schools that have a commitment to becoming a water only school, are not already, and can meet the contractors and identify a location for a drinking fountain and take on the responsibility for the cleaning and maintenance of the fountain.

Deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 30th September 2022. Contact Ciara.Litchfield@london.gov.uk  with EOI and/or questions related to either of these.
