North London Waste Education Hub

FAO: All phases/school types

North London Waste Authority have launched their Education Hub and a competition to coincide with the launch.

Competition

We are running a competition to coincide with the launch of the Education Hub. We’re looking for schools to submit posters to us – the top 30 will be placed on the construction fencing in the new Eco Park. Two other schools will be chosen at random to win either a £200 voucher to be spent on school supplies or an assembly delivered by NLWA and NLHPP staff.

Full details can be found here: Schools Competition | NLWA

Education Hub

The Hub is a collection of internal and external resources to encourage waste prevention education within schools in north London. NLWA has pulled together resources under 6 categories: ‘the journey of waste’, ‘food’, ‘clothing’, ‘plastic’, ‘composting’, and ‘take action for the environment’.

Resources on the Hub have various links to the national curriculum, including English, Science, Geography, Citizenship, and Art & Design.

The link to the Hub can be found here: North London Waste Education Hub | NLWA
