Holocaust Memorial Day 2024 update
For all Headteachers and Chair of Governors of all Schools
Holocaust Memorial Day 2024 is 27 January 2024, and we would like to draw your attention to some helpful resources for your schools should you wish to create teaching sessions or design any school assemblies to coincide with this annual commemoration.
The theme this year is ‘Fragility of Freedom’, and you can find resources relating to this at the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust website: www.hmd.org.uk .
We hope that this link and resources therein is helpful to you as you consider any plans you may have to commemorate and educate our pupils.
The local authority will be holding a commemoration event that will be broadcast on the Council YouTube channel on 27 January 2024, we will share further details of this with you in due course
