Reusable Period Products Campaign

For all Schools

Join the reusable period products movement!

North London Waste Authority (NLWA)’s new campaign is helping those who menstruate to learn about reusable alternatives to pads and tampons. Check out their website, Reduce, Reuse, Your Cycle, which has a wealth of knowledge on reusables, such as how-to videos, advice from those who’ve already made the switch, and a comprehensive list of FAQs.

Interested in how your school can get involved?

NLWA is looking for primary or secondary schools in north London to host a Reusable Period Product workshop for both students and parents/carers, either in person or virtually.  Hosting a workshop at your school is a great opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to helping your female pupils and to tackle the climate emergency. Those who attend can take advantage of exclusive discounts for reusable products.

For teachers to learn more about reusables and have the confidence to pass on knowledge to pupils, NLWA is running online teacher training sessions on the below dates, visit Wen’s website here to book onto the sessions.

·         Thursday 21st March, 3:30pm-5:30pm

·         Friday 26th April, 3:30pm-5:30pm

For more info and to register your interest in having a workshop at your school, please contact NLWA at wastepreventionteam@nlwa.gov.uk
