Festival of the Lea - Saturday 13th July

For all Residents

Festival of the Lea is a free arts festival on Saturday 13th July from 10am - 6pm aimed at local residents including families, taking place at BLOQS and on the surrounding Lee Navigation canal in Upper Edmonton. The festival is organised by the Canal & River Trust and BLOQS to celebrate the Hinterlands artist residency programme and BLOQS 12th anniversary.

Join us for free, family-friendly arts and cultural activities including:

  • Unique artist installations along the canal
  • An interactive children’s theatre performance by Chickenshed
  • Dance performances on Chalk Bridge
  • Creative workshops where children can add colourful designs to the towpath and learn how to make their own city.
  • BLOQS main stage with music and spoken word
  • Learning and educational activities surrounding the sustainability and protection of the River Lea
  • Food and drinks available to purchase from the Bloqs cafe
