In Year Growth Returns (16-19)
For all Secondary Headteachers and Heads of Sixth Form

The recent update above sets out a request from DfE for all 16-19 providers to submit info on learner numbers this year at the RO2 (October) and RO3 (November) dates. Whilst schools are not obligated to provide the information, school sixth forms that enrol and support increased numbers in 2025/26 will be considered for ‘in year growth’ funding so it would make sense to provide the necessary info.
The process for confirming in year growth is quite straight forward and a helpful calculator is provided if you follow the link in the update set out above.
