Guidance and Support for Students on Exam Results Day
For Headteachers in all Secondary Schools
Exam results day is a significant milestone in a student's journey into education, employment, or training.
While many students will progress as planned, others may need additional guidance to explore alternative pathways and make informed decisions about their future.
The Participation and Inclusion Team is offering tailored telephone support on Thursday 13 and Thursday 20 August 2026 for students who would benefit from exploring their next steps, identifying suitable courses, searching for apprenticeship opportunities and other progression pathways.
Students can call 0203 821 1959 between 9:30am and 3:00pm for guidance and support.
We encourage schools to promote this service to students and families ahead of results day, particularly those who may be at risk of becoming NEET.
By working together, we can help more students make informed decisions about their next steps and participate in education, employment, and training.
