Enfield 500 Youth Housing Forum
Enfield Colleges
Introducing the Enfield 5000 Youth Board, an exciting upskilling and housing forum designed for 18 to 25-year-olds living in Enfield social housing.
The Youth Board aims to give young residents a meaningful way to get involved with the Enfield 5000 Forum, while gaining valuable skills and experience along the way.
Participants will work together on a real-life housing scenario, developing ideas and solutions as a group before presenting their recommendations at the Civic Centre. It is a practical opportunity for young people to have their voices heard while building skills that can strengthen future job applications and interviews, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving and leadership.
Participants will also have access to practical caretaking workshops, including carpentry, painting and essential maintenance skills, alongside sessions focused on digital skills and wellbeing.
No GCSEs or formal qualifications are required. Throughout the programme, participants will receive support from Enfield Council officers and apprentices.
The initiative is open to Enfield social housing residents aged 18 to 25 and is particularly aimed at supporting young people who are unemployed, looking to build their skills or are care leavers.
