Sing & Sign
In recognition of Deaf Awareness Week 2021 we put together a resource to support inclusive singing for Deaf and hard of hearing pupils.
The resource includes one featured song, 'Reach out your hand' by Hollie Williams & Bottletop Music, with links to the performance video, signing tutorial and teaching ideas and suggestions. There are also an additional set of songs with lyrics and links to accompanying signing videos including songs suitable for KS1, 2 and 3.
We have now made our online Sing & Sign an annual event in the summer term each year, so also uploaded are the notes from 2023 (Love Shine a Light) and 2024 (Just Sing).
We hope that you’ll have fun learning some sign language and singing some of these inclusive resources with all your pupils!
