Dear Headteacher,
The education world is rarely quiet and as you know we now have a new ministerial team in the DfE. And Ofsted inspections have restarted with two last week at Oasis Academy Hadley and at Forty Hill Primary School – Jonquil at Forty Hill had just been in post for 8 days at the time of the inspection.! Honilands Primary School have just had their Section 8 inspection report published – a good visit and report so congratulations to Nuala.
I hope you found the last headteachers briefing useful and I attach the power-point from the briefing.
i) NPQs - Please find information as promised on the NPQ programme including details on the schools entitled to free places on the training.
ii) Parents letter - Please see attached a letter for schools to send to parents/carers also as promised regarding COVID19 and schools and also vaccinations. I hope you find this helpful.
iii) Headteacher briefing – 7th October 10-30am to 12pm - for your information, the next briefing is planned for this date.
iv) COVID19 Cases - there is a slow rise in the number of cases in schools. Please feel free to call myself or Dudu or Sarah as needed and as many of you have already done to discuss individual circumstances. Decisions are going to vary from school to school as the parents letter indicates.
