Central Enfield CLC Technical Support and Educational Services

The CLC provides Schools and Educational Establishments a full range of IT services. We will support your IT Infrastructure and provide specialist solutions. We offer specialist IT Technical Support for both Curriculum and Admin Networks, Supporting all Microsoft packages, Windows and Mac platforms, LGFL Support, MIS Support (Capita SIMS, ScholarPack and RM2 Integris). All our service packages are competitively priced. We now offer a selection of bolt on top up services that can be added to your existing plan.

CLC SLA details the level of cover and support purchased is outlined in each category. All our staff are fully qualified offering a Professional Education Focused IT Solutions. Providing specialist IT services for all Enfield and Out of Borough Schools currently supporting over 10,000 users per term, we have successfully implemented new ways of working that is cost effective and produces a high quality of service and advice.

All our Technicians and Personnel are fully qualified and enhanced DB certified. All our staff are fully compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 and fully conversant with DFE policies child protection and health and safety protocols, also in line with the new regulations that come into effect in May 2018 this includes how we use your data. No data held will be passed to any third party and only used in accordance with our service agreement. No personal staff or user data is held by the CLC. Your networks security and data protection is paramount.

CLC service agreements are available to purchase throughout the academic year with the added benefit of not being signed up to lengthy contracts, which means your pricing structure is based on your individual school requirements. We will always provide a high-quality service to all our packages. We are not in partnership with software / hardware providers so you can also be assured that the advice and guidance we provide is independent.

The CLC offers a full range of products and services including new project installations, system migrations, website design, software/hardware training for staff, educational teaching and training support sessions.


CLC - Teaching ICT Support

CLC Technical Service offers schools technical support for IT infrastructures and school Admin and Curriculum networks. We specialise in network installation projects which include servers, laptops and desktops. Our Technicians have the expertise of working with both Macs & PCs platforms. We have been offering this service to Primary and Secondary Schools including various Educational Establishments for a number of years with a proven track record and successful working partnership with all our customers.

CLC Equipment Loans

The City Learning Centre offers an equipment loan service that allows schools and educational organisations to save on their IT budget and trial equipment before they commit to a large purchase. The equipment available covers all Key Stages of the curriculum and organisations can loan multiple kits throughout the academic year.

We can offer a large and varied range of equipment for use in:

  • control and programming
  • mobile technology
  • digital literacy
  • science
  • music
  • digital art and photography
  • movie making

Loans are available:

  • weekly
  • for half terms
  • for full terms
  • for full academic years
  • for full calendar years including term breaks

This service is available at no cost to schools and educational organisations who purchase our technical support service package.

CLEAPSS Licensing (Consortium of Local Education Authority Provision for Science Services)

To join the local authority's purchasing arrangements for the licensing agreement for the Consortium of Local Education Authority Provision for Science (CLEAPSS).

CLEAPSS provides a general support service in the field of science and technology

Description of Service:

We provide Enfield schools the facility to purchase at a discounted price CLEAPSS (Consortium of Local Education Authority Provision for Science Services) licence, which provides general support in the field of science and technology.

This includes information, advice and training on:

  • practical science
  • health and safety
  • risk assessment
  • sources and use of chemical
  • living organisms and equipment.
  • laboratory design & practice
  • job roles of technicians

    Limited support and advice may also be offered for technology, art and design and other practical subjects.

Options of packages

  • purchase of CLEAPSS annual licenses
  • purchase of the Radiation Protection Advice service membership The latter includes:
  • the service of a Radiation Protection Officer to act as an intermediary between the education establishment and CLEAPSS;
  • a consultant to audit Radiation Protection arrangements once every 3 years;
  • support & information in regard to radiation queries beyond the scope of your organisation’s Radiation Protection Supervisor.

Corporate Maintenance & Construction Team

This service, provided by a specialist team within the environment department, offers schools maintenance of their mechanical and electrical equipment. It comprises an annual service contract and a responsive maintenance service. The annual service ensures statutory compliance and efficient running of engineering plant and equipment. The responsive service covers day-to-day and emergency repairs.

Additional services, funded separately by the school, are:

  • planned repairs or refurbishment of buildings, mechanical or electrical elements
  • new projects such as building adaptations and improvements and provision of new accommodation
